Celestial Summer (2022)

Between the summer of 2021 and early 2022, a collaboration with author Lorraine Avila led to the creation of the graphic novel Celestial Summer.

A small team worked together to produce character designs, promotional animations, sketches, and inked pages.

'CELESTIAL SUMMER follows Layleen and Keith during a psychedelic trip on the eve of July 4th, 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, and a war on Black bodies. These lovers grant each other permission to take off their masks and love up on each other in a Harlem apartment. CELESTIAL SUMMER is an intimate exploration of love, intimacy, sexual healing, and vulnerability in a world where deceiving others and building walls to keep people out is the norm.'
