A London-born and raised artist, Nyanza D's illustrations and animations are deeply shaped by her personal experiences of feeling like an outsider. In response, she created her own visual world, filled with subjects and narratives of her own design. Her work is an exploration of identity and self-expression with a focus on creating vibrant visual narratives that resonate with audiences on a deeply personal level.

Nyanza's work primarily focuses on depicting Black women in moments of solitude, capturing them in intimate, personal spaces. Through her art, Nyanza explores the connection between space and mental health, emphasising the idea that individuals reach their most authentic selves when they are in environments where they feel both physically and mentally at ease.

Drawing inspiration from analogue and digital worlds, Nyanza blends a diverse range of influences shaped by her heritage alongside her experiences as a woman navigating life in 21st-century London. With an emphasis on movement, bold colour palettes, and expressive characters, her work delves into the complex and multifaceted nature of womanhood in a vibrant and dynamic manner.

Beyond her artistic practice, Nyanza enjoys crocheting cute outfits, indulging in almond croissants, and reciting lines from Nollywood films.
